During the 2020 global pandemic, Rev. Thurselle C. Williams was invited to pray with ‘The Best Life Tribe with Dawn Fitch” on Facebook. In an act of obedience to the vision God gave Rev. Thurselle, she continued with a weekly prayer call and added a daily morning devotional known as “Strength for the Day”.
Each morning during SFTD, Rev. Thurselle offers thought-provoking and relatable teachings based on the Bible. Ending every devotional with the scripture that guides STFD, Isaiah 41:10, viewers leave feeling motivated, supported, and encouraged.
In 2021, the first ‘Gathering of Strength’ was held at South Mountain Reservation Pavilion in West Orange as a means to gather ‘Strengthians” in a time of praise and worship. Since then, the yearly gatherings have grown to attract over 150 attendees and counting.
In 2024, the Gathering site transitioned to The Wiltshire in West Orange. The paraministry of Strength for the Day continues to draw men, women, and children closer to God and creates community globally.
